Bug Report Solved More then one Bug

Hi,

I want to report more then one Bug, that my Friends and I encounter.

One was, when my Friend teleported to another Region, the Sound of the whole Game went off und all her Skills got deleted.
Another Bug is that I cant open the Dragon Evolutions Window, when i oben the Lair Window and klick on "Open Evolution Window", the whole Dragon Lair Window closed itself and nothing else happend. Another friend of my has the same Problem.

Suggestion Rejected Enrich the thematic of dragons

Hello everyone, I'm opening this new thread to talk about some ideas I had to enrich the thematic of different species of dragons.

One of my ideas is about Pale Radiance.
There she is :

Due to the fact that "Pale Radiance" has what one might to call of as rocky scales with phophorescent "crystaling" ends.
The same goes for the spikes he has behind the head, on the neck, legs and wings.
For the green parts drawn on and under the wings,
these would be reflective (because their scaly "leather" would also be crystalline) or, would not change, depending on the overall rendering.
"Pale radiance", could therefore express the idea that its phosphorescent rocks / "crystalline" parts emit weak, even very weak glows.
So, overall, to emited a "Pale Radiance".

I obviously have other ideas in store for other dragons. I had to start somewhere.
In any case, I am counting on you to tell me what you think about it and do not hesitate to enrich this post with your own ideas.

Announcement Patch Note [Patch 1.0.23] Raised Gold Rates, F1 QoL, DV Fixes

Hello AdeptGamers,

Here are the current patch notes. This patch is quite small but has quite a bit of impact on the game. The F1 changes are supposed to make every class viable for F1 farming, as some classes can do F1 as normal while auto attack focussed classes need to take detours to raise their rank to get any items. We think that the player should focus more on optimizing their farm speed and routes in F1 instead of trying to collect points so they can get rewards in the first place and lose time compared to other classes. The gold rates will also help new players as well as farmers to have easier transitions into the mid and late game, especially after the changes to enchant.

  • Fixed a few Dragon Valley mob drops (if there are other mobs broken let us know on the forum)
  • Increased Auto Attack/Normal Mission Points gain by ~3x
  • Increased Server Gold Rate to 3x (15-18g per boss Lv.70)

Game Tips Dragon Fishing

"What is Dragon Fishing?"

Dragon fishing is a dumb term I use for having a life while hunting dragons. The concept of it involves a player AFKing a spot for a long period of time until there is a 'bite', usually indicated by you taking damage. There's not too much point in doing it, but since I've long ran out of time to 'hunt' dragons due to work, I've decided to share my prime fishing locations for roaming dragons. It's a little redundant with the egg system, but the use can be multiplied with the eastern event that cycles in feburary. Anyway, if you would rather catch dragons in the wild anyway, carry on reading.

Just note, dragon fishing is still a gamble. If someone is more observant than you and is actively looking over that space of hours, they will probably still get the dragon over you, but due to lack of competition these days, fishing might still be the preferred option.

Multiboxing is optional but nice if you want to still play the game while fishing. If you're not however, continue with this guide. I won't go over how to multibox again in this thread as I have already covered it in my Dungeon Ancient hunting thread.

Finally this is not a definitive list, just a few choice spots I use. I'm also not going to be listing Moon dragons, since they appear at predetermined times. This includes Solar Eclipse.


There isn't much set up involved, but there are some processes and options you can set to make your life easier.

Switch to the Combat Log:-
The combat log tracks timestamps and events that can help determine when something happens. If your character dies overnight, you'll know what time it was.

Mute everything but Sound Effects. The reason I do this is to hear when there is activity, like the dragon attacking you, denoting a successful "hook". You can set it extra loud if you want it as an alarm clock of sorts. (I once did this for Twinhead and several other dragons.)

If you multibox with an alt, stay in a party with them and have them fish. If you see / hear activity of another dragon you can use a Shadowstep Scroll to appear at their location.


Onyx Smoke
This pathway blocked by rock is devoid of mobs but not devoid of the ground pathing route of Onyx Smoke.

Pale Radiance
There's many choice spots here, but I use this one.

Primal Star
People don't usually sit up on this island, but Primal bites here, as well as any eastern dragons sharing the pathway.

Umbral Glare
The very first spot I 'camped' for an early UB was here back in OBT. It still works well here. Frogs might slap you around, but you should be able to position yourself correctly without pulling them. Umbral was even here at the time of screen capture.

Fungal Bloom
There's again, many choice places here, but there's an uncanny one here that not many people use.

Whispering Wind
This dragon lands on this rock in the Ruins of Sarpaldi so it's a nice anchor for where to stand.

Silverthorn
You can sit by this isolated tree west of Arpati which is free of enemies. You'll know you're at the right one due to the raised ground ahead of it, and the sight of a distant tent and dozing honeypest.

Dark Flame
A braindead location most hunters were at least vaguely aware of. It's pretty safe though, as Dark Flames AI tends to fudge on this hill and not attack you at all, turning into an hours long staring contest.

Verdant Fin
This dragon doesn't have many places you can 'sit for it' since it is mostly airborne. Here on the waterfall will drag it out of the sky however.

Green Hermit
He covers a lot of ground but if you're lazy you can sit by this rock near the waterfall in Painez Plateau. He walks behind it, right where I'm standing now.

Easter Event

Thanks to Seiichi for activating this year's Easter Event. Have had a first look there and tried to collect the 26 eggs. I gave up after waisting half an hour on getting 5 of them.^^

Dear Seiichi please help us and implement 4 chanels there as it is in the other parts of the game as well.

Bugs, Suggestions, Complaints

Bugs​

  • Player resync:
    I've been told this part has been commented out from Adept, yet this doesn't seem to be the case or it's not entirely commented out as I've had cases where I obviously got force teleported to old or rather totally new positions which were quite far away.
    It's rare but it's existent.
  • Tool tips disappearing a lot of times instantaneously
  • Inconsistent dungeon clear experience bonus
  • Dungeons like: Lavalon, Fenrir/Heath, Underground Graveyard
    • display an experience reward which isn't distributed at all
  • Monsters desyncing a lot
    • You'll randomly get hit when they teleport for example behind you
      breaking your combo; skill in use.
  • Underground Graveyard
    • Accepting a quest with dialogue the moment you go into a boss room
      will cause you to get stuck ⇒ not being able to attack nor interact with anything . UI will also disappear; everything except UI fixes itself in the next Boss encounter.

Suggestions​

Profession system:​

Since you don't like the way it works e.g. "overpowered" for being afk as in a lot of free resources, you can change from whatever it did before to a system which would support the MyHome system.

Let me explain what I mean.
You could implement a crafting system in other words create a custom exchange machine for MyHome objects which could then be acquired via turning in the loot you received from the professions.

Progression​

Quests​

Quests don't really give a lot of experience except for Hero quests and even then you'll have to be lucky to have chosen the right Hero quest line as certain quests still give next to no experience.

Gear​

From level 20 to 60 there is not really much of gear progression, except for level 45 Mist Elf set which seems to be the best target to acquire a decent set, but as from what I know you'll be wasting a lot GADA Coins in order to receive set parts.

Quests​

Test from Earth (1)​

Can be acquired before Paradise (8)

This shouldn't be the case, since you cannot complete it and "Paradise (8)" is a quest for a higher level.^

Socket Card Development (1)​

Cannot be completed

Due to removal of Professions and therefore Midas this quest cannot be completed.

Broken magic flute as two pieces​

No information on how to accept

In order to acquire this quest one will have to do F5 from the same Mission as "Paradise (8)" & "Test from Earth (1)" if I recall correctly. But there is no information on that and if I recall correctly it said "Can be accepted close to Chaos...", which would be false information.

Inconsistencies​

  • Target requirements e.g. is in air; is on ground; is knocked down
    per skill and per skill level is rather inconsistent.
    ⇒ Examples: Marksman: Gatling rush
  • Dungeon clear bonus experience reward:
    It's inconsistent at best and non existent at worst. For example you'll get 150k at first run (SSS) and in the second run 50k (SSS) and in the third 90k (SS).
  • Dungeon repeat rate:
    It's inconsistent at best and non existent at worst. For example Boss experience can be at the 1.0 exp rate completion stage 100k at but 65k at 2.0 exp rate. This shouldn't happen.

Classes​

Marksman​

  • Overall his damage is horrible and not really able to properly rush at the same calibre as the other classes through missions.
  • His chain combo will cause him to delay after an attack for about 2~3 seconds (at least that's how you'll feel) before being able to move.

Bosses​

Lavalon​

  • To strong for level 40 2nd job change quest
    • This is due to the nature of him being a level 49 Boss
      He is technically 1 hitting you with each ability.
    • Meteor
      • Inconsistent Damage
      • Hard and next to impossible to detect when charging
        the arbalest or attacking Lavalon himself.
    • Flame breath
      • Animations rather janky; thus is in certain situations hard to predict.
Note: I heard someone wanted to readjust or rather balance the way you receive the underground graveyard set, which would in return make this fight easier, as this would essentially help with how strong the boss is at the moment it's not here yet and farming the set at this point of time is the same feeling you get when you run 50 times lavalon just to get 3 heart pieces or even just 1 if you're lucky enough that is.

Conclusion: Lavalon without a carry is at this point of time a huge roadblock. And with the lack of active players, as a lot just stand around afk in Port of Winds you won't really get someone who can carry you.

Announcement Patch Note [Patch 1.0.22] Enchant Goes BRRR

As said before, the rates have been a bit less impactful than they should have. They now were beefed up by A LOT (especially on +24 and +25).
If these numbers still end up being unhealthy (too good, too bad), they might be adjusted again.

Enchanting

  • Increased the Base damage gained on your weapons from +21-25
  • +21: 50% -> 60%
  • +22: 60% -> 80%
  • +23: 70% -> 100%
  • +24: 80% -> 130%
  • +25: 110% -> 160%

Announcement Patch Note [Patch 1.0.21] Shifting from stats to Weapon damage, Expedition Expansion

Hello AdeptGamers,​


Here are the current Patch Notes. From the get go, we are currently working on getting cosmetics rolling (we will do some organisatory matters first to make it easier to work with them). For this Patch, it is primarily related to balance. This one is a bit of a biggie. Overall I am fairly satisfied with how the stat rework has impacted the game, however I still need to make adjustments to a few classes, remove some damage, add some damage, redefine some aspects like Invoker healing (possibly thinking about a stat that increases Healing effects) or Dragoon tanking. This patch focussed mainly removing some of the strengths that you gain from stats, as they were sort of overpowering, especially for the early phases of the game (and Lv.60-70), and put more strength into the weapons. This did however have to come at the cost of lowering the enchant rates. The enchants are now more meaningful and overall you will be stronger than before, if not a bit too strong.

As for content, we are slowly getting planning done on some things that will hopefully be implemented in the future. However, I cannot tell you anything about what this form of content will be about, since it's yet in the planning phase.

The TL;DR for is patch is: Nerfed ATK/MATK conversions, Buffed weapon enchants, reduced success rates and the expedition buff.

Event Completed Dragon's Prophet Coloring Event: Skytouched (Crystalline Chaos)

There are no maximum number of entries for people to submit, but you can only win one reward.

We will be accepting submissions until May 1st 15th, and afterwards we will choose the winners from all the submissions. Due to how long it takes to create the textures it may be a few months until they're ready for release in the game. We also may bring more than the three winning concepts in game.

When submitting your colored concept keep the following points in mind:
  • Try to be clean as possible with your coloring
  • Be careful with the colors you use (do not do very subtle changes in shade or hues)
  • Do not go over the top on patterns, or get overly complicated with them
  • Do not make additions to the model itself as we currently cannot do customization of the model (no additional horns, spikes or anything else of the sort)
  • Original concepts that are different from existing Crystalline Chaos variants, or different from existing Dragons are more likely to stand out
  • Please try to include a color swatch of colors used so we can sample when doing the texture
