Suggestion Rejected Multiple Lootpets

Would it be possible to change the Lootpet buff, to not disappear if you call another Lootpet? I mean its technically already possible by spamming two different Lootpets fast to accomplish multiple looting Lootpets at once. But it would be cool to have atleast two out at the same time.

Hello there. Most people will know me as your biased unfriendly Twin player Chaos.

I like summoner playstyle so I played the class for a while especially after the changes and wanted to give some thoughts on what I feel is working and what doesn’t work at all to give some feedback on what I think should / can be done to make things smoother.


Alright lets start with what I think the server is aiming for?

I guess the idea of making a spell based ( hopefully one day a summon based ) class using skills instead of X spam as its main damage source.

The current issue with that even after the harsh nerfs of X spam – from 3 down to 2 balls – Spell caster summoner is still Inferior in terms of overall DPS compared to X spam on singletargets and mob clear. Why is that?

is very consistent without any interruptions you can dish out tons of damage – even if those annoying balls fly away sometimes

2. The cast time on skills make them sometimes a pain being alleviated by Energy Circulation

is great but the summons itself aren’t very tanky and on bosses like Elga, Paris on reflective shield they die within a matter of seconds.

3. Well known animation time slowing this class very terribly down on Spell based DPS

4. Overall summon damage being low – aside from DK

but lets be real who has got the Skill Points for those.


I wanted to address those issues mainly because if – and I hope it is so – the goal is to make a spell based summoner some things have to change


There are a few directions take from onward as I will list them what I think could be done:


- Nerf X spam even further and buff the damage skills of summoners to counter the long animation time – It hits once but hits like a truck

- The formula calculation on how much armor and HP a pet gets from the summoner has to be revised and make the pets tankier – Maybe instead of Spirit counter and Pain Division a skill that increases their HP and second their bonus armor % gotten from their Summoner. This should help with the Energy Circulation problem

- Maybe cutting the animation of skills if possible if not then maybe speeding it up ?
Besides those the balance of skill dmg % seems to be rather all over the place

. The damage percentage is like day and night making those 2 skills almost obsolete compared to other ones. I hope it gets reviewed in the future.


Another well known problem is Drakans and their Skill points missing a everlasting problem that I always point out in hope it gets fixed one way or another ( having a reliable way to farm skill points and or / cutting down on SP costs of skills )


All in all summoner is a very fun class to play and I hope the future development wont abandon this class that hasn’t been really finished and gives it a nice finishing touch x)

Bug Report Solved Ping spikes after server maintenance?

I started playing on Adept about 19 days ago, I didn't have any issues with DC's or ping (albeit I've seen so many complain about it) - but I started getting it myself around 2 days ago. I've heard that there was some testing going on with the servers and it started happening just around that time so I wonder if that's it.

I usually have around 150 ping (I'm guessing the servers are in NA or something) but now it started going up to 600 or more whenever I try to fight anything, making me unable to attack at all or see the enemy's attacks. It's become very difficult to play. This only started happening in the last 48 hours and didn't happen a single time during my entire playthrough to level 108.

Announcement Source Update Plans

Due to the DDoS attack that we have been dealing with since late May we had to delay our plans for the source code update as we wanted to focus on getting server stability back under control, which we mostly have now. We are still undergoing a large scale DDoS, but the load balancing and other changes we have made has mostly handled the major issues we had. We may still get a few issues once in a while, but those are generally related to the DDoS mitigation service.

Currently we are aiming to get the source update out within the next two weeks, either this coming Monday (September 21st) or the following Monday (September 28th). The initial update will include everything except the items to max or change Dragon attributes, as I will want to test them live to just verify that they work on the live server before I push them publicly; they will likely follow several days after the update, or at the most a week later if changes are needed.

We are also going to look at pushing language updates for French, Russian and German. I am still looking for a Chinese, and Japanese translator, and possibly a Turkish one depending on if the person who was interested still wants to do it.

We will also be looking at releasing the 4 dragons previously teased in the last development update (Developer Update - The coming update, and some more Dragons) and have started working on a new Dragon for Halloween.

Leading up to the update we will also be purging 1500+ shards; originally this was going to be 1400+ but we are going to wait until we can make a tool to automate checking the logs to delete only exploited shards below 1500+ (this exploit has been fixed in the source update). This was one of the things that lead to the delay, as we had to make the tools to track shards in every form that they are stored or used in the game.

EDIT: Things are looking more like it will be the 28th for the update, rather than the 21st. I got a lot of the data for the update completed, but there are a few backend changes that are needed before we can release. I am also trying to fix Shadow Cry, so that it works on more than one Dragon, but we'll see how far I get on that.

EDIT2: So I found how to make non-rare Dragons and rare Dragons have the same stats, however we will need to compile the patch and data and that will not be ready this Monday (yay for systems that are all different and spread out). The source patch will officially drop on the 5th now, as this will also give us a bit more time to make sure things are all done.

This patch is likely going to be fairly large, as it is going to have a large data update, and also some updates to binaries and shaders.

Patch Note Completed Dragon's Prophet Weekly Maintenance 9/7/2020

We will be having our weekly routine maintenance at 7 PM PST Monday evening. During the maintenance we will be doing the following:

This server will be longer than normal more than likely.

We are adding an additional server to the current infrastructure to add some additional load balancing, as well as to move away services such as SQL that have been affected by the ongoing DDoS. This should help to return the server to it's normal performance, though we have some additional ideas if more needs to be done.

Bug Report Crash game at main tittle

(i'm french, i try to my maximun for speak english)
hi,
Today i install adept on my pc but one problem come.. error dll d3dx9_43.. i download dll and copy in dossier system32 and 64/ After this and lauch my game, error message dissepears but a new problem come.
At main title "Adept" the game hard close. i have no antivirus / firewall desactive and i try it some compatibility and launch with admin.
Help me pls ^^

Bug Report Str bug on shadow

Hello,

I'm writting this message to report a bug on shadow. Str doesn't work as expected. In fact, 1 str should give 10 atq but it seems 1 str gives approximatively 3.4 atq. I don't know if there are other bugs but I found this one.

Is it possible to fix that please :)

Announcement Leaked Dragon Saga Account Credentials

In an effort to be transparent, I am letting people know that we have had a leak of user login credentials for the Dragon Saga server. This is due to Paris taking unknown backups of an older database, binaries and source code without our knowledge and storing them on her Mega account when stepped down from our team, which was then compromised. We had known about the leak of binaries and source code, but were unaware that a backup containing credentials had also been leaked. I became aware of this when I was alerted that someone was claiming to have all of our user credentials, and that they could login to any of our user accounts.

While credentials have been leaked, they are fully encrypted, and the likelihood that they have actually accessed any accounts is low. The passwords that were shown to the person who alerted us to this were still in MD5 format, so it's likely that the people involved haven't or can't decrypt the passwords.

We have changed all passwords to a randomized encrypted 32-character password, which users can change through the account manager account manager. If you have used the same password elsewhere, I recommend changing it there as well.

This leak only affects Dragon Saga login credentials, and does not include anything relating to the website. This means that no actual personal information (such as email) or financial information has been leaked. We also do not personally hold or maintain any financial information (that is all handled by Xsolla or Paypal), and only maintain a record of purchases.

As far as how backups are actually handled, they are generated and immediately encrypted and password, then transferred to a physical server that only I have access to, and require a Yubikey to access data from.

EDIT: Clarifying that Paris did not leak the database, but her Mega account was compromised.

Trying to play: Account Credentials Denied

I have registered with the website, registered my account with the game I'm trying to play (Dragon's Prophet); yet when I attempt to login the game with my email and password, I get this message 100% of the time:

Please check your email address and password

I've checked it ... checked it ... checked it all over the place, but it still isn't working.

Could someone please tell me if I've missed something, or can check on the backend to see what is the matter with it?
