Announcement Character Transfers + Rewards (Important!)

Now that the beta is finished i have prepared a spreadsheet listing all characters that will be eligible for class/name/gender/appearance transfer as well as all the rewards each player has gained.

If you believe there to be mistakes with rewards or wish to change your name / gender / class please post a request in this forum thread, every time a request is processed it will be deleted (do not repost your request if it is deleted)

Examples:
Request: Change Class (To Warrior)
Character: Paris

Request: Didn't Receive Reward (Tier3)
Character: Bannedpex

simple and easy.
do not make false requests / time waste.

These requests can be processed even past "release" IF you have 0 playtime on the character after release , if you have more playtime than this only the character name can be changed via request (class ect will not be changed due to limitations)

Human classes can be changed to drakan classes and vice versa
if you are changing gender / race your appearance will be reset.

Announcement Unscheduled Maintenance 10/22/2019

Due to issues with the update yesterday, we are going to do a quick maintenance and temporarily disable the new Dragon spawns in the following dungeons:
  • Juno Crystal
  • Accursed Tower
  • Dunar Temple
  • Ironfang Fortress
  • Palace of Methus
  • Dragon Heart Temple (rip Obsidian temporarily)
  • Shrine of Handras
  • Racmon Grotto
This is being done because the function used to spawn dragons seems to be able to interfere with other functions such as the Exit Dungeon icon, or ending scripts like the removal of lava by Hexclaw.

We will also be adding the dragon name back (even though it spoils me forcing everyone to explore again).

Hi all!! I introduced myself briefly on the Discord but figured I'd do it here too!

I'm Aekaitz/Jenna, either works for me. (Or any shortening of Aekaitz. Been called Aek, Aeks, Aeka, you name it! :D)

Little DP history about me! I started DP way back when it was first released, my first starter island was Bakra and I fell in love with the game. Had to drop it for a while when my laptop took a shit and when I came back, Bakra was gone. It was sad because I had fond memories of fighting my way through my very first dungeon, Omati Gorge! Either way I picked it back up and played it again for years. My first year was mostly playing through Puretia several times on different classes because I couldn't decide what I liked LOL. Finally decided on Sorcerer. Took a break from NA for a while and played to around level 50 on the EU servers. Came back to NA later on, and made it to level 94 and my beloved maxed Liquid Silver before NA shut down. I then dropped the game for years because I was upset of losing all of my eggs, items, dragons, and work on my character.

I heard about this server from a friend in a different beloved MMO of mine, Istaria, where my lovely guild was born. So I downloaded it right away, but it took me a few weeks to decide to get back into it, knowing I'd probably get lost in it again xD I truly love this game despite it's rough life and I'm glad to see it being taken care of by the team here! <3

I'm also an artist/designer and (obviously) a dragon lover. Happy to meet you all >:D

Patch Note Completed Weekly Maintenance 10/21/2019

We will be having our weekly routine maintenance at 7 PM PST Monday evening. During the maintenance we will be doing the following:
  • Fixed Adept Dragon Gacha; it was using the wrong array ID so that no gacha was being awarded
  • Added titles for the 3 newly added Dragons
  • Dungeon spawns have been completely re-done, where only one dungeon per zone will have the previous spawn, and all other dungeons and raids will have a previously Marketplace Dragon (there are a few exceptions, but it's something that everyone has wanted anyways).
    • We were going to be resetting the counter's for dungeon spawns as part of the overhaul, so that each dungeon would work independently, but this is delayed until we can fully research how they do the counter and how to add the new counters. This should hopefully be done within the next few weeks.
  • Some new buffs have been added for Hater's events

Patch Note Completed Weekly Maintenance 10/14/2019

We will be having our weekly routine maintenance at 7 PM PST Monday evening. During the maintenance we will be doing the following:
  • Reversion of client to pre-source due to current bugs (these are currently being looked at)
  • Implemented 'new' dragon textures into the game; in all fairness, one was touched up, one is being released as is, and one is completely new
  • Implemented new GM event zone, based off of Island of Lost Souls so that players will hopefully have better latency
  • Data changes for the upcoming Dungeon Spawn update

Suggestion RNG (pet options & upgrading equipment)

Pet stats:
  • Remove Pet option randomizers;
  • Increase pet ATK scaling;
  • Add more pets to dungeons (1% drop?), field/mission bosses (0.5% drop?), field/mission mobs (0.1% drop?), BattleSquare chest (5% drop?), quests, CP Points exchange, pets from achievments (is it possible?)
Fixed stats (with little range) to each pet.
For example:
  1. 10% - 15% Critical Dmg & 30-40 Agi;
  2. 20-30 Agi & 15% - 20% ATK Speed;
  3. 40-50 Hlt & 4% - 6% Physical Damage Drop;
  4. 25-40 Agi & 20% - 25% Critical Rate.
Dungeon equipment enchanting & soulcrafting:
Reward players who play more and not who are more lucky
  • Change enchant rates (example for VC, Drakos and Black Claw Nest equipment: rates - Pastebin.com)
  • Remove +21 - +30 enchanting
  • Smoother scaling
  • 1 - 40 lvl and non-dungeon weapons can only be enchanted to +10
  • Remove enchant/soulcraft runestones
  • Remove milestones
  • Increase amount of dust for enchanting
  • Add special slot for materials
  • Add new materials in 40+ level dungeons for enchanting weapon (Magma, Kundara, Black Claw Nest)
  • Add exchanger for dungeon materials (50 regular -> 1 rare, 10 rare -> 1 rarest)
  • Increase amount of materials for craft dungeon sets
  • 100% drop rate of regular materials from bosses at any level (scaling with group members if it possible)
  • Fixed soulcrafting stats
  • Remove Soul Craft Randomizers
  • Add menu to select soulcraft option
  • Remove dependence of maximum enchantment on soulcrafting
  • Add more ways to farm souls/dust (souls from dungeon mobs, dust from field/mission mobs?)
After all these changes, you have two ways, try your luck or farm materials for guaranteed improvement

Bug Report Dragon Tournament & Arena Bugs: Can't use skills

hi seiichi tourney and arena skills don't work fully I am not the only one with problem..i am not sure if this is a game thing or out side influence it seems weird that they big hitting skills don't put any thing on there hit bar and that the heals don't work again not the only one with this problem .please take control of my account and try them yourself it has been 11 months now not sure about out side tourney and arena also dragons don't swop out ..sorry about spelling. also evo skill not working

Announcement Current bugs & Client Reversion

Due to not being aware of some bugs that got lost in testing the client that we released recently, we will be reverting back to the previous version of the client until the new code base that Dragon has been working on is prepared.

We did learn that the issue with FPS being halved is now fixed with the test client, which was the major thing that we were attempting to test (previously the client would halve the FPS regardless of who ran it). This means when we have fixed the out going bugs we can (and do testing on the new code base) we can go forward with officially moving to our own code base which will let us begin working on other things that we've had to put off.

In regards to the next major update, the dungeon spawn overhaul, so far the patch hasn't crashed so we should hopefully have it ready soon, preferably before Halloween.

As you know, we have ended our beta about two days ago. When you read this, the server will be up for public play testing. You can login and proceed to play.
During this phase, we will make many items free, fix bugs and implement other changes for release while beta characters will be playable throughout this time. However, they will be wiped when the pts ends.

You will not be able to earn any beta rewards. The beta has already ended.

Bug Report Bakra Quest at Mount Sorthina

Bakra - Mount Sorthina - Quest 'Clipping Their Wings'

Required to kill both Garion & Freyon. Neither have spawned at the main map indication spot.

This is also linked to the PE - 'Send a Punative Force Against the Bandit Group' that requires in 2nd phase > Gather Weapons. No weapons are dropping from any mobs nor are there any highlighted boxes/items to collect.

Thus the quest line 'Clipping their Wings' nor the PE can be completed.
(no mob dot on mini map for weapons nor bosses but a red dot is on main Bakra map for either of the 2 bosses.)

Bug Report Hero Quest "Clueless Mystery"

The Hero Quest "Clueless Mystery" where we have to talk to the Wounded Guard in Traitor's Ridge not only blocks everyone in the party during the cutscene(kills them if they're between mobs) but also teleports us to the last map we were for no reason.

Can you block that cutscene freeze for EVERY red quest and also the teleportation for that one ? Thx
