Yes, any operating system after Windows 10.Yes, ok, but by "Windows 8+" you mean "Windows 8", "Windows 8.1" and "Windows 10"?
Yes, any operating system after Windows 10.
High quality previously only worked on Windows 7, but we found where the issue was and fixed it for the source update. It also gives us an idea of how to fix some GPU issues with DP.
It really only is about a 5% improvement over medium, and only makes a difference for some things and certain dragons.Ah, excellent. This, for me, will be "the revolution". ^^
By the way, just out of curiosity, can you summarize for me where the problem was, please? ^^

As far as the issue, it is due to DP not being a proper 64bit program, and a dependency failing because of that.
We're removing the 32bit client, and there will only be 64bit available with source update. So, if I understand correctly, when the source update rolls out, the setting for high quality textures will remain at high quality, unlike what is still being done at the moment? On the other hand, the visual gain will initially be very low (around 5%) and will be partially noticed at first.
For more extensive improvement, will it be necessary to upgrade the coding of the game to 64bits?

5% is actually a fairly large amount for a MMO, especially one as old as DP. For the most part, you will only notice a difference on some models, and some textures. Here are some examples I had posted in the Discord:
For exclusive Dragons, the quality difference will be minimal as we already do a lot to increase the overall quality of textures. A lot of that comes with handpainting each texture, and also being anal retentive to the degree that Aiden and I are.
We do have some ideas/plans to increase quality somewhat later on, but it'll mostly depend on when we can and what we can do. Without re-doing everything from scratch there isn't much point, and at that point we literally should just be making a new game rather than working with DP.
Also, regarding an update, we have stopped getting errors and have stopped the zones crashing, however we need to do some clean up and optimization, and I will be having players test our test server for a few days to ensure there aren't any broken functionality. So far I have tested a few things that have been broken in the past, but other than that we're doing good so far.
